You got to feel a bit sorry for Don. Something may have wrong in the build, stuff happens in transit, I'd be very surprised if he wan't happy to have it shipped back for a good old fix'n.

Yeah when Dons finished with it this time, it will no doubt!, have more bulkheads, stringers, struts and braces than a 1st world war biplane.
Do all these super lightweight guys really, all play gigs in the gondolas of hot air balloons or is that just my imagination.

PS. Albeit, Recent testing of proposed new dietary supplements recommended for the Mk 1 Flatulifter have indeed had there unfortunate side effects:

Brave Lad!
Undaunted! Those groundbreaking chaps at Springvale Studios labs continue on going experiments in advanced cabinet lightening, not disregarding the epic work of our heroic but unfortunate Barron Von Lepplin, a new totally weightless loudspeaker lifting system has at last been realised.

Love this video. Just goes to show you that despite all the science nay sayers out there, physics is hard at work keeping everyone honest. Love the nodal patterns.

Materials needed:
Electric drill
1-1/2" butterfly bit
Marker

1.put your SVT on top of your amp and make marks where the feet go
2. Find the center of these arcs and use the butterfly bit to drill 1/4" down from the surface
3. Paint your new divots if you see fit and let dry.
4. Put your amp back on top and play c# all day long.

That only leaves 1/4 of laminates! to avoid de lamination or fracture of the few remaining layers (an SVT would probably fall through if lent on) you could fit inserts with a broad plate like brim glued into the amp foot recesses.

I cannot believe that so much thought has gone into fudging round to fix the symptom instead of getting to the source of the problem.

(Hint - Inadequate bracing.)

Oh, there's been enough of that talk..now we're just having fun.

Did anyone mention velcro yet? OOOH, I know, shelf paper. Better yet: the no-skid mat from dish racks.

Doilies?

Ok i'll play.

How about nailing a strip of wood round the edge to restrain the feet, it could then dance about to it's heart's content and never go crashing to the floor.

It might not do the tubes much good though.

Vibration is a funny thing. Back in a previous life I did industrial vibration analysis one summer (to predict bearing failure in pumps and motors). I can remember having to weld a piece of angle iron between a pump base and an angle iron hand rail once to smooth out vibration. The bad vibration showed up on our vibration instruments but you couldn't feel it. It's like trying to swat a mosquito.

Cheerleaders are soft, and, capable of absorbing lots of vibration.

Super glue. Duct tape. Ratchet straps.

It's all good.

Still waiting for an opportunity to take a vid. Don told me to give him a call.

If I go the crazy glue route, I'll have the sickest combo amp on Talkbass!

Just don't forget to apply liberally to the cheerleader dampeners as well
