head and monitors (markbass content)

just a technical question,

has anyone tried or using a head (for my case a lm2) and post DI out a set of studio monitors(for eg. a pair of KRK rokits) for home listening/practice purpose?

reason being any cab(1x15) is really way too loud for my small room.


or it is wiser to sell it all and get a DI(avalon u5/reddi) into a pair or studio monitors? just for home practice, "own audio" pleasure.

I use the DI output of my Gk backline 250 through a audio interface (edirol). I connect this to pair of Event monitors. The sound is very good. Connect it direct I think is not possible
