I'm deciding between an ampeg classic head, eden nav wtx1000n, sunn collesium... something along those lines. I need something cheap, loud, and tight sounding. Thoughts?

svt vr or vintage for me, thanks. but the classic is very good as well. never was a big fan of the coliseum heads, but some are so that's cool. however, eden on an ampeg cab? sacrilege!

Awesome. The only problem is that I'm looking for something incredibly loud and incredibly cheap at the same time. An ampeg classic vr is my dream but it incinerates my wallet. What is a head that will deliver similar results with a lower price tag?

I used to run my mb2500 through an svt610 with my stingray and my sadowsky. Sounded pretty good.

That's funny, I sorta feel the same way. Although, I did actually use my wt-800 with my 810 for a little while, before I got my Sunn coliseum 300. So I guess I took a little different gear path than you! I still have my Eden stuff but I never use it, it just doesn't get me where I wanna be tone-wise.

However, to the OP, I liked the combination of the Coliseum 300 and the ampeg cab, and I found it to be very flexible as well, so I can attest to that being a good combo.

Has anyone else had experience pairing the coliseum 300 with a svt610? I'm probably going to give it a shot if I come across a good deal for the 300.

If you wanna save $$$, I'd just try your Shuttle first. Then If you wanted more of an Ampeg tone haul your gear down to a music store and try out a Sansamp VT pedal with it.
