Hello there, I just purchased a Peavey Mark 4 head, its an 82. I was just wondering if anyone can help me go in the right direction for a cabinet that can get the best performance out of the head. It runs Minimum OHM at 2. 210 w/4 OHM, 300 w/2 OHM. 30 v RMS. Any help please.

Those guys were paired w/2-15" cabs back in the day. Two of them would present the 2 ohm load. Technology has improved a lot since then. What I would consider is a 2-12" cab using the 4 ohm Eminence Delta 12LF's crossed over to a 4ohm 6" mid like the Alpha 6C.. Yes, that would be a build-it yourself project.. Smaller cab, better LF performance, and clarity..

The 8-ohm Alpha 6" driver is better. No reason to use the 4-ohm version in this case.

I have the same head and I am running it with a peavey 1516 cab and ampeg 15 cab to get the 2 ohm load. Best bet is two 8 ohm cabs.
