Question HELP on amp and cab combination. Ohm confusion.

Sign in to disble this ad
I have an Ampeg SVT410HE cab, and a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 shuttle 600 watt amp. Is this a good combo? I know little to nothing about ohms, amp technical terms etc, so any help with that would be awesome also. Thanks.

The shuttle puts out close to 400 watts at 8ohms so your 8ohm cab will have no problem as long as you don't go overboard with the low end eq. I've never tried my shuttle 6.0 with that cab, but it pairs nicely with most everything I've tried it with so you should be sounding real good. Add a second 8ohm 410 to get the full 600 watts, and you should be sounding real good and real loud!!

+1 to all above, but read the stickies and FAQ's to understand "how" your gear works.

I'd avoid a 15. If you want more bottom get the 410hlf. If that isn't enough, get another one hlf. You might want to get a forklift and a flatbed too, LOL!
