Help! Ampeg BA210SP or Ashdown MAG C210 EVO II

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey folks,

I've just started getting back into playing my Bass properly again after a few years of busy time at university.

Basically, I sold both my larger amps b4 I left for uni and now i'm suck with this tiny little 60watt thing that sounds terrible and won't do at all for band practice and small gig venues. I've done a bit of looking around and narrowed my choice down to either the Ampeg BA210SP or Ashdown MAG C210 EVO II.

Ampeg BA210

Ashdown MAG C210T-300 EVO II Combo

The reviews I've found seem pretty even and sometimes contradictory so I'm looking for you guys to help me choose as I'm sure allot of you have played both of these.

I don't mind paying a bit more for the Ampeg if it's generally a better combo but if there isn't allot in it, i'll save my money.

I play a pretty diverse selection of music so i'm looking for something that will cover pretty much anything I want to play.

Hope you guys can help

Cheers,

Matt

I have an ampeg ba 300 (2x10) and I love it.. My previous small amp was an ashdown electric blue. I liked it too, but I prefer ported cabs..

Funny, I started with Ampeg back in 91... Ive been through Eden, Aguilar, Fender, Ashdown. Liked em all very much. But I love ampeg and Ive come full circle to Ampeg. Just love the warmth of their tone
