HELP! Best Bass Combo? Ampeg BA600/210

Hi,

Can anybody tell me what is the best combo out there today?

I want something powerful, so I've been looking at the Ampeg BA600/210 but have found so many bad reviews.

Does anybody have one? Can you share the pros/cons?

I've wanted this combo to be the answer for me, for over a year. Most reviews have been negative, coupled with no news of updates to this line leads me to hold off buying...

I still love my old BA500 combo. It's been a workhorse over the last 3 years and it's never had a glitch.

Best thing about this combo is that you can use a 4 ohm extension cab with it (@ 500 watts) - where as the newer BA600's don't.

In the past I've run this combo alone - or with an Ampeg BXT210M cab, an HLF410 & a HLF610 cab depending on the size of venue.

Some have said they didn't care for the solid state tone of it - but I like it alone - and loved it with any of those other cabs. With the EQ it has I've been able to get the sound I like out of it. I don't currently use it with extension cabs since I now have 4 amps of various sizes.

It's heavy for a combo but it will probably be one of the last pieces of gear I will sell.
