Help Choosing a new amp

Sign in to disble this ad
I own an Ampeg BA115 100w combo, it's cool for practicing, but i need to step it up. I've been using my buddy's Ampeg B2re/SVT 410HLF halfstack for a few months and it sounds good, but it could definitely sound better. I'm looking at upgrading to some serious gear that will give me versatility and clarity at any volume, while having enough power on hand to get things shaking. I'm probably going to end up getting either and Epifani UL410 or UL212. The 212 has 700w, while the 410 brings 1000w to the table, for only $100 more. I guess the question is, what amp heads could you recommend that would give me enough power to bring out the full potential of either of these cabs? Also, if i can get an extra 300w of power out of the 410 for just $100 more, would that be the most economic way to go?
