Help finding an ugly rig thread.

I just went through the Janky Rigs Of Doom thread looking for a specific rig I must have seen in a different thread.

I remember there was a band who had the hands down winner in the thread with 2 guys, a bass player, and a drummer who wore a mask with a mic taped into it. The bass player had a bass string for a guitar strap.

I don't really remember much more but I remember laughing myself silly throughout the thread. Anyone else remember it or the band for that matter? Please link me!

Thanks.

Well, I can't help you there. Just poppin' in to say there was some pretty cool stuff in that Janky-A thread. Might have to go back through just to look at the pictures.:)

Must have been Lightning Bolt.
The bass player strings his bass with two bass strings and two banjo strings. They also have some of the most beat up gear I've ever seen.
Musically they are amazing.

Yeah! That's the band. I'll run another TB search with their name. Thanks!

Based on your description it has to be Lightning Bolt.
The drummer (Brian Chippendale) makes those masks and uses parts from old telephones sewn into them as a mic.
The bass player (Brian Gibson) strings his bass with two bass strings and two banjo strings.
They are the awesome.
