help: Gallien krueger 1001rb-matching cab?????

okay so i am getting a used mark 1 GK 1001RB, im currently using a 70s era peavey 215D W/ the original 15" blackwidows,


iv been led to believe thatm my peavey 215D runs 400ish watts at 8ohms to each speaker-making this a 4 ohm cab

so my question to my fellow tb'rs is is will my new head match my cab well...any advice appreciated.

It's fine, see how it sounds. And btw, speakers don't "run" at any particular wattage, they handle the wattage, up to the point where they won't, and that's the point where you turn down the amp's volume and low eq.
