Question Help, I want to make a buy a bigger amp!

I want to upgrade to a stack. I'm looking to spend about a grand give or take on something good. My friends dad (who is a musician himself) told me I could buy a used acoustic 6x10 with about 350 watts. The guy doesn't use it anymore and just doesn't need it. He says $200-$250. I could buy a very nice head to go along with it.

I've also thought about buying a new stack altogether, but I would not get the same quality possibly as buying a used cab with a new $700 head. But my question come to; is An "Acoustic" amp the right one for a metal bassist? I like to play a few styles, but metal is my favorite genre. So can everyone give some opinions please???

If you don't go over there right now and shove the money into that guys hand and buy that 610 cab ----- <Oh gawd!) !!!!!!

Buy the Acoustic B600H for it and just smoke the competition!

Get ye to your GC and try the Acoustic B810 and the B600H and see what you'd get.

I think with your budget you couldn't go wrong with a 610 for $200. Spend the rest of the money on a decent head and you'll be laughing. In the future you could always buy a higher quality 210/212 for any other style and add it to your stack for metal
