I think these are Svetlanas... hard to read them clearly even though its all printed on there. If anyone is familiar with them, are they any good?

Those are winged C svetlanas, so, at least in north america they're called winged C or SED (svetlana electron devices). Straight up svetlanas here are made by sovtek in their factory as they own the name. These are from the original svetlana factory though they lost the rights to the name, at least in terms of marketing.

+1, & are rumoured to be a bit better than standard Svetlanas

Thanks guys. I couldn't find anything anywhere on APES tubes but thought they looked like Winged-C's. Nice to know... got a tremendous deal on this head (Ibanez Thermion... out of production, fantastic value for high gain guitar stuff) and they are usually stocked with Ruby 6L6's which are kind of on the cheap side.

Ruby is a rebrander and sells all levels of tubes. While it's true their normal stuff is chinese manufacture (most from shuguang IIRC) but they will also rebrand russian tubes. I have a set of winged C 6550s that came in my SVT when I bought it that have ruby stickers and matching ratings. If the amp was new when you bought it it's possible that Ruby sent over these tubes in their shipment to Ibanez or that ibanez specifies better stock from Ruby instead of the standard junk.
