I was getting setup for a church service last Sunday in a rented place, and the person helping me move my stuff dropped my amp. It seemed to have landed directly on the Master Volume Pot, as the pot is bent and the knob is in two pieces. No biggie by itself, I bought the amp because I move my gear often and I don't want anything to happen to my M9 Carbine.
The person who dropped the amp paid me back the money that I paid for the amp ($250), but before I send it off I want to see if I can fix it myself.
Anyways, the amp will turn on, but I get a really loud popping noise if I try to turn the Master Volume at all. There is also no sound coming out of it. I was wondering if anyone had this problem before with the Kustom KXB500, and if they fixed it themselves, what did they do?
I'm going to crack it open tonight and see what it looks like inside. I have a little experience with soldering and what not, so if it looks like something I can repair, I'd like to try it. Thanks in advance for any help!!
