help with MB2500

help me out.
need a few questions answered before pulling the trigger.

found a GK MB (squared) 500 head for sale.
the serial number is RB0915A05101815

By the serial number would this head be old enough model to have the issues that some of the squared verions had?

..or was it updated to the same specs as the newer MB500 version?

..if not, does GK charge to have the head modded to the new specs?

I think this bass head is up my alley, does the MB2500 and MB500 have any other differences, or exactley the same featurwise except needing a tweak?

talked to GK, and they said that the A05 serial number was in the series not usually affected by the problems such as some of the the A00's.

I forgot to ask if the A05 series had the same EQ as the MB500 (i heard the EQ in the MB500 was updated to be a bit more flat) and if the A05 series had a limiter or not (i think the MB500 has an on/off switch) and if it has dual 1/4" speak-on connectors or not.

i am having problems with my MB2500. I just heard from the repair shop, who talked to GK, and GK will upgrade the amp for free if it was purchased within the past 24 months. otherwise it's $150 plus shipping to upgrade it...

the MB500 has a limiter that's switchable by pushing the master volume knob. otherwise i think it's identical on the outside to the mb2 500. same connectors on the back.
