| Some here will say that you'd be better off adding a 2 x 10 cab as opposed to a 4 x 10. Some say that a 4 x 10 and a single 15 cab together have frequency issues versus a 2 x 10 and a 15 together. So the consensus here as I've seen it talked about, would favor a 2 x 10 cab more often than not. I've no horse in this race, as I have played through a 4 x 10 with a single 15 rig as part of a provided back line a few times, and they worked okay for me.
I myself like the sound I've always got from running a head and a 2 x 15 cab rig, or matching separate 15 cabs, which I do achieve in a way with my older Ampeg B-2 single 15 combo and a matching SVT15-E cab, but that's me. If you have a chance to try both cabs before buying with your present rig that would help you to decide for yourself.
