| FWIW, I've owned both, A/B'd them against each other (in decidedly non-scientific environments...), and they are different animals- I personally preferred the 610hlf, as it seemed to have (for me) more low mid grunt, is fatter sounding, and was more flexible tone-wise. The 8x10 has an unmistakable, classic sound, but is more of a one-trick pony (again, my opinion- yours may vary). The 8x10 was, to me, punchier than the 610.
The 610 is also a little easier to load in/out. |
