Send a message via AIM to Redhot6
Have you plugged into it? Does it sound good? Do all speakers work?

It'll be hard to identify for sure, so make sure you test it thoroughly.

It is not very deep, so I agree that it is likely a guitar cab.

Does it work?

What are you going to use it for?

Bi-amp it with a 15 sub should do it.

I was thinking acoustic without the blue bit or maybe kustom kasino. Who had the vented dust caps like that? Might help narrow down who made the speakers at least.

Cheap Utahs and the like of the late 60s through 70s. And that means they're probably not true electric bass drivers, as they didn't exist then in drivers of that price point.

CTS also had vented dust caps. Kustom used them heavily as there "standard" drivers.

I have some cts 15s with vented caps but I'm not sure I've seen 10s. But there are a lot of speakers I haven't seen so that certainly doesn't rule it out.

+1.
Acoustic and Sunn also used them. i have a couple of of Sunn CTS 12's that look exactly like them.

IMO, the cab in question looks like an old acoustic more than anything else. I'm not sure that they use that type of handles on the sides though.

here's a pic of a 6x10 acoustic 104 with the vented CTS speakers:

univox used them too:

They still fell into the realm of inexpensive drivers in that era. You needed to step up to JBL, EV, Altec, Gauss and the like to get high quality drivers prior to roughly 1980. They used vented caps because they didn't have vented pole pieces, which were used only in high end drivers in those days. Today you see vented pole pieces in most drivers.

Not questioning that, just trying to identify them.
