Help me identify my 810

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently acquired an Ampeg SVT 810e, used. I didn't notice when I picked it up, but there are no markings on the jack plate. No name, serial number, nothing. The electronics inside the jack plate are labeled SLM, but that's all I can find. The plate it's self has 2 - 1/4" inputs and 2 speakon inputs, not a 3rd 1/4 for bridging. How can I determine the year and has this thing been replaced or re-wired? Any help? Please

pull out a speaker, and look for the number 67 followed by 4 digits. the 67 means eminence, the next two digits are the year of manufacture, the next two are the week it was made. allow a couple months for manufacture of the cab and that will give you a ballpark.
