Well my GK 700RBmkII took a dump on me, makes a horrible hum thru a bunch of diff cabs no matter what is plugged into the input or return. I havn't been too happy lately lugging my head and an 80lb 4x10 cab around for gigs anyway, sooooo I'm looking for a LOUD and light(<50lb) combo. I like the new GK's especially the MB212. What I need help with is suggestions for other combo amp's that have about the same amount of cone area as a 212 and are LOUD(500+w?) and light (<50lb) my budget is under $1000 I will check out and try to play thru any suggestions, tone is subjective, but I find my tone is more or less in my bass and fingers, any qaulity amp I've played thru has a good working tone I can fine tune to my liking. That being said, I prefer 12's to 10's but I am open.
If I don't find a combo that does it for me, I'll prob go with my pedalBoard and buy a 1000w+ poweramp as this affords me use of different cabs in different venues, I just really like the idea of a one trip load in with a lt wt combo in one hand and bass in the other.
If it matters I play mostly guitar driven ROCK music, loud drums, two Marshall tube half stacks. so LOUD is kinda key, not to pump the venue full of sound(usually have PA support) but loud enough for that kind of stage volume.
Thanx in advance guys, I love TB!

Both the first unit I got, and then the second unit that they replaced it with had issues, and I decided to give up on them. However, a friend of mine has one, and the thing sings; it may be worth it to find a good one, even if the search takes a while, I just didn't have the patience.
