| Help me pick a small cabinet

Just getting back into playing after nearly a decade of being sidetracked. Still have most of my gear but I really could use a decent cabinet. I play mostly to amuse myself, classic rock, some blues, if I'm feeling spunky I'll do some Rush for old times sake. Primary bass is a Yamaha BB5000 passive strung E-C. I have an old beautiful SWR Studio 220 that runs around 220/4ohm or 140w/8ohm. Currently I'm running that into an old Sunn 3M cab with 2-12 and a tweeter. It actually doesn't sounds terrible but I'd like to have a decent bass cab. I'm familiar with most of the name brand stuff that has been around awhile (although I understand the SWR stuff is a shadow of its former self) but the new stuff I'm kinda clueless on. For instance, just played on my first Markbass. HOLY MOSES! But that's alot more than I need. I'm leaning toward a 2X10 but I'm finding alot more 15's. Any advice? |
