OK, I feel like I should know this answer, but I guess I'm looking for confirmation. I LOVE my new (to me) WalkAbout. The 300 watts is more than fine for now, BUT I might need more power for an upcoming outside gig. I currently use the WA with a 410/115 GK stack (each 8 ohms).
Now, IF I would need more power, I could also utilize the Direct Out to a power amp that would feed another 1-2 cabs? This is while also driving the current two speakers? I have another 8 ohm cab I could use and borrow a power amp. I have a potential gig where the PA will be mainly used for vocals; thus, needing enough power from the stage to audience.
Or, I am able to DI out of the WA to a higher powered power amp (500 watts) to my GK cabs as they'll handle the wattage.
I know I could go down to 2 ohms with the WA, but I don't have any 4 ohm cabs that I could borrow, etc. I'm trying to utilize what I have access to without buying new stuff.
I hope I have explained this well enough...

| | | The DI will woprk fine on another power amp to handle other cab. So probably you won't have any problem, anyway waht kind of other out line do you have on your head?

I hope I have explained this well enough... | What is the other cab that you have, or what else can you "borrow" ?
The combo of a 1X15 and a 4X10 is pretty poor as the 1X15 can only keep up sonically with a 2X10. It is the weak link in your chain.
Also, since you head can go down to 2 ohms, you can add your other 8 ohm cab. It will bring your ohm load down to 2.67, and the power will be spread evenly between all three 8 ohm cabs.

IME - I use WA with Berg HS410. |

Run the 2 15"s together stacked on each other, then the 410
