Question Help my find the right cabinet!

Sign in to disble this ad
hello,

Im currently fighting to find a good cabinet to match my Ashdown Evo 500 II. Im playing through a Aria Pro II magna series bass with a few effects like chorus, wah wah pedal, delay and a fuzz. Im looking for a really clean, precise, razor sharp sound. I like my sound to be trebly with a massive bass punch under the treble. I was looking in to Ashdown ABM 410t and other 4x10 cab's but Im not sure if this is the right route to take. Should I be wanting bigger speakers? I like the 4x10 because its a medium sized cabinet, I know they cab be really really heavy but Im not bothered by this..

hope you can all help me out!

thanks

A guy that bought my NV215 brought an Ashdown 500 over to try it out and it sounded quite exceptional. Don't laugh, but a pair of Mesa Scout Radiator 12's would also sound really good with that head.

A 410 is pretty standard gear, but they're not all created equal. Your best bet is to take your bass and amp out to the music shops, and plug in to every bass cab you find. Hearing it for yourself is THE BEST way to buy a cab.
