Help picking a bigger amp

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guys, I have a question concerning a couple bass amps I am looking at. I want to move up from my tiny practice bass amp ( I'm just starting off) and have come across two bass amps that have caught my eye. What are your opinions on these and which one would you prefer? I have found some pretty good deals locally that is why I am looking at these two specifically.

The first one is a Fender, probably built early 90's. It is a Fender M80 Bass amp and it is rated at 160W.

The second amp is a Peavey TNT 115 with a Black Widow Speaker. I think this is rated at 150W.

Which one do you recommend and why? Thanks for any and all your help.

The Peavey TNT Seems to get quite a lot of good press on here and on other forums, its a solid, reliable amp which packs plenty of volume aswell. I have no experience with the Fender, so i would say the Peavey.

Im pretty sure the fender m80s is a guitar amp Im not 100 percent sure i just googled fender m80 and some 1x12 combos came up with 2 channels distortion and clean channels... id vote peavey just because they are reliable amps and very under rated im not sure why.

Yes, the Peavey is the better choice. Even IF Fender made an M-80 bass version, which is certainly possible, those amps are garbage. Peavey wins the day.

That Peavey TNT will serve you well. Consider hiring a local high school football team to help you move it, though!

good luck!
