Help on picking new amp head?!

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a line 6 lowdown hd400, and it is great, but I need something new. I am looking for an amp head that is rack mountable, that has a tuner input and other pre amp inputs. Something that can get an aggressive and attacky tone. Help please!

GK.

Never liked Line 6 bass gear. Strange stuff, amp simulation gone too far.

700rb, 400rb, 800rb, 1001rb, MB500, Fusion... Check out the specs. You could also get good used deals on GK amps. And GK is more semi-pro/pro gear. Personally I would go for a used 700rb, that should last you a long time. Don't know about tuner inputs (separate ones) but me thinks the whole tuner-loop thingie is not that important. While a rock tone is.

Budget? Weight concerns?

How "aggressive" and "attacky" do you need/want?

To me, aggressive and "attacky" tone screams GK, imo. 700/1001-ii RB would do fine and rack mountable.
