i just recently bought a demeter VTBP-201S and i love it. i am looking to get a power amp and here are the two that are in my price range:
Crown Power Amp XLS 802 for $299 or Carvin DCM1540L for $449. any opinions?

What do you want from a poweramp? How many watts and for which cabinet impedances? In that price range I would go Peavey IPR1600, but my requirements might be completely different from yours.

The DCM1540L is a nice amp, but I wouldn't use either one of those.

Crown XLS1500 is how I'd roll.

I'd hold out for a used Crest CA-9 here on TB

I recently bought one of the Crown XLS 1500s and I love it. I generally apply to the "too much power is best" school of thought when it comes to bass, and it's a great, LIGHT, amp.

Don't overlook the Behringer ep1500.
