Help:A red bobbin fell on my amp..

Sign in to disble this ad
So I recently got a bergantino HS410 which I picked up and got a good deal but there's a catch after playing with it a few hours a bobbin fell on the bottom of this amp.. I'm not sure what is it so I'm asking you guys what it is..

So here's a picture: (Sorry for low resolution image)

Is it an easy fix?

I really don't know it fell on the bottom of my amp and I ain't sure where that thing is connected.. I'm guessing its on the crossover.. I already emailed Jim Bergantino too to ask how fix the problem..

Looks like an inductor that would be part of a crossover. I don't know much about the HS410. Depending on how its connected, repair could involve some soldering and that inductor may need to be replaced. Probably best to have the crossover replaced or repaired by Bergantino or or an authorized shop.

Actually if its an inductor it is still fine.. Cause there's no bobbin popping outside the bobbin case.. Just the cable that should be soldered..

looks like a wiring bobbin from the crossover. no idea what it does, but i've seen wiring bobbins on crossovers before.

In a dream world, it might just be a piece of flotsam that got in the cabinet during construction, and may not even be part of your cab.

I've seen them secured to crossover boards with what looks like silicone sealant. Probably just came loose. If you're good with soldering and have some sealant, perhaps you can just resolder it and secure it with wire and sealant.
