I have an Acoustic B410 cab and I need to replace one of the speakers. What is a good replacement speaker to buy? The 410's are 8ohm 100w each. Is it possible to "upgrade" and buy one 150w or 200w speaker to install along with the existing 10's in my cab???
i'd see if you can't find a replacement yourself first. impedance , sensitivity/spl , and
resonance / fs, midrange balance should be close to what you have .
many mfgs use Eminence OEM drivers , which can be anywhere from $40 Alpha series to
kappa Pro cast frame series($100 + )
if you can score an Acoustic recplacement for less than $70i'd say go for it.
if not.....and they want to hose you for more than $100 , forget it . if those are 100w
drivers.... they probably cost under $40 each wholesale.
If you're only going to replace one speaker in a 410, get the exact replacement from Acoustic/GC/whatever. Making 1 out of 4 different while they're all sharing the same box will cause as many problems as it solves.

I would get a whole new cab. I had two B410 blow drivers in 2 months. Luckily Guitar Center made it right for me both times. I cut my losses and sold the 3rd one off
Under warranty yet? They are usually for a year and if you got the Pro-Coverage, then it might be a total of three years - even if you drove your foot through it.
No questions asked if you've got Pro-Coverage.
