HELP! Trouble with EDEN WT300

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all, I'm not used to using a forum, so please excuse should this be the wrong place for this posting!

I need help! Is there any user of an Eden WT300 Hybrid Amp out there who witnessed similar problems?

At first the Amp head started to crack when using the parametric eq section pots. Now, there is only cracking and noise, no other sound coming trough, no matter which knob I turn.

Any idea about the source of the prob? Tonight I will be checking, if the preamp is still working (will try the amp with headphones ...) but any advice on test procedures is greatly appreciated!

Kind regs and keep on grooving!

You can try plugging into the effects loop to test the power section. Also, Ive heard issues of dirty pots on these if they sit unused. Radio Shack sells a pot cleaner you could try. Otherwise open it up and check the solder joints on your input jack. Hope this helps!

Don't use headphones to test an amplifier. Both the 'phones and your eardrums will be in jeopardy.

Edit: Try jumpering the effects send and return with a signal cable and see if that helps.

I've heard of issues, and had very minor ones with my own 300. I would get a can of contact cleaner and clean out all the pots, ports and the tube socket. It may even be worth changing the tube.
