Just curious, besides Carvin, what are some bass heads that have high power ratings at 8 ohms? Are there any that can output the same power at 2, 4, and 8? I'm talking about 550W+.

A tube amp equipped with 2-, 4-, and 8-Ohm taps will usually put out comparable wattage into each impedance. However, I've never heard of an affordable tube amp capable of producing 550W.

My Crown will do 1050W into 8 ohms... what do I win?

Amps will always be able to push more power into lower impedence, it's the nature of the beast (or physics if you want be accurate).

OK, my QSC PLX3402 will do 2,200 watts into 8 ohms, but I think he's talking about bass heads.

I said bass heads, not pro audio power amps. You did not win anything, you're disqualified.

Not for tubes.

Many lower-cost amps will not provide more power with lower impedance speakers due to inferior power-supplies. It is usually the power-supply and not the amplifier itself that limits maximum power into 4 and 2 ohm loads.
