hmm - need opinions! (TE v600h)

Bought a TE v600h on here a few years ago. 6 months or so in, it went out in a blaze of glory. I just recently took it in finally to get a repair.

According to the tech, The output circuit board is pretty crispy, and all of the power mosfets need to be replaced, which are $20 a piece x 6. Quote came out to nearly 400 bucks.

So, question is - is it time to put this one down? I loved the amp the bit I got to play with it, but the price tag is much steeper that I had anticipated. I am really leaning toward fixing it - but as I don't NEED the amp, saving my 400 bucks sounds nice too.

so, what would you do?

Wow, I am sorry to hear about that happening to your v600h!

You might want to call for a second opinion on the repair. I'd check with Shane at British Audio Service.

Hey Tom - you had recommended him before on another issue, I sent him an email a few minutes ago.

Yeah, I am a little depressed about it, and not sure what to do. I hate to give up on it, but not sure where to go from here.
