How to adjust CA9 input sensitivity to X40?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'd like to adjust the input sensitivity on my ca9 to the x40/1.66v option. I understand it has internal jumpers to do this but I haven't been able to find any details.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Hi, I took a look at the manual online, http://www.crestaudio.com/assets/lit...A9-AB_7719.pdf , but they indicated: "NOTE: This jumper is NOT user configurable. Please consult your supplier or local Crest Audio service center if you wish to have the voltage gain / input sensitivity changed."

It seems like it ought to be a straightforward thing to do, but it might be worth taking it to a dealer to make sure it's done right.

Aftr thinking about this, there might be a safety issue here: This amp may have large caps that take a while to discharge and if you open it you could inadvertantly get zapped.

FWIW,

Jim
