So my friend is at it again. I thought he had an LH1000, and thats not the case. So here are some pics. I want to know how to get 1,000 watts from this head to the Hartke Hydrive Cabinet!

Here is the front of the head...

Here is the back of the head...

Here is the cab in question...

Thank you guys much for the help in advance. Here is what i have seemed to have concluded. While an Ampeg 8x10 can run as two 4x10's, it doesnt seem the Hydrive shares that functionality. Someone i know suggested stuffing two cables into one 4 pin neutric plug and then having it go to dual banana plugs?!

I have no idea how these heads work, as I have never seen one before. It can do 500 a side, or bridged at 1,000 watts. I just want it to be able to spit out 1,000 watts of juice into this cab.

You can't. If the minimum load on each side is 4 ohms, that means the minimum bridged load is 8 ohms. The cab is 4 ohms. So it's a no-go.

BTW, you could have found this out in about 30 seconds by googling "peavey kilobass" and looking at the PDF of the manual. I just did.

For these kinds of questions, the manual should generally be your first go-to.

What if i made a Neutric 4 pin to dual mono 1/4 male and just ran them out of the left and right side of the head into the cabinet?

Magic smoke. Actually, Peaveys are quite well protected, so maybe just turning off.

I tried an LH500 into the Hydrive 4x10 and it started protesting, so probably don't need more than one side. I was horribly detuned though.

You would be shorting the two amps together if you did that.
At best, no sound. At worst, smoke. The right way would be to make a speakon to banana cable, which is what those two center conductors are for, the black and red ones. But....
There is simply no way around the 4ohm impedance of the cab, which is the problem. The amp needs an 8ohm load minimum in bridge mode or it will overheat and possibly be damaged.

Don't.

what if i rewired the cab so that it had two inputs, one for each side of the cab. That would make it two 4x10's at 8 ohms, yes? then i could just run the left and right side into each respective jack?

You still wouldn't get 1000 W out of the amp, because each side of it would put out less power into an 8 ohm load than the 500 it's rated for at 4 ohms. You might get only about 250-275 a side at 8 ohms.

You could do it but don't count on your amp lasting long

accept the impossible. It's ok. most of your ideas will destroy your equipment. 500W into a fridge should be great. remember, 1000w would only be 3 dB louder than 500W, and that ain't much.
