How do I get THIS bass tone ?

Hey all, just wondering how I can get this bright, punchy and metallic slap tone as shown in this link.

YouTube - ‪Mark King Slap Solo‬‏

I use a Gallien krueger 700rbii and a 09 MIM fender jazz. How can I alter my EQ in order to get this kind of tone ?

You might have to get a set of bright steel roundwound strings for that tone. The bass and the pickup he uses also play a role. Check out Norm Stocktons setup.

Jazz bass won't quite get you there, but one essential part of MK's tone is light strings, fresh rounds. 030-090 works well.
