How good is the SL900 DI?

I should be receiving my new SL900 tomorrow and I'm going to use it Saturday night. I was wondering if the DI on the SL900 is as good as a JDI? If so I will just do that. If not I'll use the JDI inbetween the head and the cab. Thanks!

I believe someone did a test that showed the GB DI as being almost exactly the same as a Radial...or a Countryman, I can't quite remember which. Ayway, the GB DI is really good.

Set pre EQ, you should have no issue at all. Of course, the SL900's DI is buffered, so if you are using a passive intrument, your send will have more treble content than you had with the passive JDI, and be more open sounding in general. With an active instrument, I would doubt anyone could hear the difference.

If you're referring to the Streamliner (STM-900) 900, then the DI is fine. I have used it on a few gigs, and the sound man said it was very easy to use.
