Question How many watts can this old speaker take?

I have a Kustom II Bass SC as seen here: KUSTOM II BASS COMBO 70s? CONDITION - Guitar amplifier bazaar world

(not mine)

The head didn't work, but the speaker is fine. My question is, what is it!? It has nothing other than some random code numbers printed on it, and is the stock speaker I know for sure.

The head used to put out 60w, but I'm wondering how much I could safely push through this speaker.

Scroll down here to see some more info: Late 70's to early 80's Tolex covered Kustom amplifiers!

There's no way to say for sure. Use your ears; if it sounds like it's straining, back off a bit.

+1, and besides, the actual wattage ANY cab can take, is entirely dependant on what frequency your signal is, meaning lower notes need more power for the same loudness. Just use your ears, and when the speaker starts to distort, or fart out, back off.

I'd stick to about 50w to be safe, really.
