Question How much of a concern is the CLIP/PWR/AMP light?

I have a Fender Bassman 250/210. Occasionally I have it up to over 80%-85% volume and I see the light flickering a bit. Sometimes staying lit for a full 2-3 seconds. I'm not exactly sure that's a good thing. Can anyone tell me how likely it is that I'll blow the fuse? Can I push it any higher? The speakers should be in no danger. I have a 15" cab hooked up to this as well to help take the stress off of the two 10s.

Thanks for your help in advance!

The clip light flashing on a heavy thump or attack of a note is fine. If it's staying on a lot you need to back off a little. Also most volume knobs are not even throughout the dial meaning having it on 8 out of 10 does not mean you're using 80% of it's capability. If this amp has a built in limiter and the light indicates that's engaging, that's the limiter doing what it's supposed to do. If it's a clip light, you're clipping it, turn down a little.

Your at max. If you need more volume than that....you need a bigger amp.

So how long is too long, would you say? And I know about the volume mechanics. I have my bass eq at about 2 o'clock so I know more power is required for that despite being at the same volume.

Just the flash at the attack of a note. If it stays on through the rest of the note ringing out, it's clipping continuously. Time for more power and/or speakers. If you dropped the bass knob just a touch you could probably keep the same overall volume.
