| | | | I've moved away from cloth grill and carpeted cabs because of cats, not because of their appearance. I still have the cloth-front ampeg svt15e, but when it's in the house, it's faced against a wall to keep from serving as a climbing wall for two of the three cats.

The only thing that drives me crazy is almost everything IS BLACK. I am sick of seeing black.
As far as perception, I play what I like. I am running a Kilo head and a GB Stream head along with a custom 215. Not exactly bass player exotic eye candy. Add a pile of Fenders to that and I am walking poster boy for boring ass bass player.
But I am still pretty !

I could never set a Dewalt boom box on a stage with me. There are to many other amps and cabs to chose from.

I think this is just a personal preference matter where yours is the only opinion that counts at the end of the day. Even if every other bass player on the planet had a different perspective, it would change that feeling you have. |

I think my Trace has a cool retro vibe now, but when it was new it was ugly retro.

It is odd though, I really don't like the look of Markbass gear, but, I really like my Tubeworks amp. The look of that one doesn't bother me a bit. Both are black and yellow....easily noticed from a distance because of it. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
