How much power do I need? Ampeg 410 115 cab

i found this cab for sale like really cheap, i had to buy it. i think its an ampeg HE4015 classic, thats 4 10s and 1 15.

im wondering how many watts i need to power it. im using a line6 450 watt and its clearly not good enough. im hoping i need just ~800 watts, anything higher seems to be out of my pricerange

obviously im not very experienced with this, so any help will be much appreciated. thanks!

800 should be plenty. Much more than that and you probably need more speakers. Be sure the amp will drive that much at the impedance of the cab!

450 isn't that far out really...we're talking about 3db here. You'd think it would be enough to get some air moving!

Are you sure none of the drivers are blown?

What you have should do fine, the cab doesn't need a certain minimum wattage, it'll work with what you give it, that is, unless there's a problem with either piece.
