Hsrtke vs gallien krueger

For the moment I have got a Hartke rig (Ha7000, 4,5 XL, 115 Xl) which sounds pretty good good to me. I have owned it for about 6-7 years. Even though it sounds pretty good I'm qurious about something new and GK seems like something I would like to try.

Problem is there is no GK gear to try where I live.

Does anyone have experience of both brands and could tell me how they sound compared to each other in general. Which has better low end, mid, highs etc. Which brand would you prefer?

I'm a GK guy all the way. I love the growl and aggression it can bring out with the presence/contour mixing. I currently have the 700RB with NEO 4x10 and love the sound it gives me with my PJ and EMG EHZ basses. I have played out of the HA5500 & LH500 on several occasions and liked those too, but the GK just gives me more power and options.
I really did like the HA5500 built-in EQ but it took me awhile to dial a good tone in.
Guess another aspect is the type of music you are playing and the sound you want... You can dial pretty much everything in and how can Justin C, Flea, and Duff be wrong?

I've owned both. I prefer Hartke.

Can't tell you how many GK heads I saw sitting on top of Hartke cabs back in the day.

Have played/used both. Agree with Kbone, it really depends on what you ultimately want or need out of your tone. Personally, I love GK, and don't think I'll ever look at anything else. Had the Hartke HA3500 head with a 4x10/1x18 stack, powerful is an understatement. Yes, it sounded good, but I got out of gigging for a whlie and just didn't need it anymore, so it got sold. I've used GK before and after it, and the punch and growl is just awesome. FWIW, back into the gigging, and my 700RB/112 is the s**t. And a +1 for jaywa, GK heads w/Hartke XL cabs ROCK!!! There's my $0.02.

+1 for G-K. I've got a 550 Fusion head with a 4-12" NEO cab and very happy!!!

Another GK fan, here. I just love their amps and their cabs. I can't really explain it. I'm looking to put my hands on the one of the MB115 for a nice portable deal. It sounds great. Very balanced sound. Weighs almost nothing. What's not to like.

GK is definitely better than Hartke in my opinion. Both are very powerful rigs, but GK is more user-friendly and just plain sounds better.
