I am officially a GK 410rbh convert.
Yesterday I traded my Ampeg 810e for a GK 410RBH/8 without even plugging it in. Traded it blind.
Now, I've been using the 810 for 3 years. I was convinced that it was THE sound I wanted, but my biggest complaint was transporting it. It BARELY fit in my '13 Focus.
I have a buddy who was willing to trade his 410rbh for my Ampeg 810. I said why not, I need something easier to move anyway.
I had doubts my GK 700rb-II would power the 410rbh at only 320w (8ohm cab), but boy was I wrong.
I just got done playing a show with it, and my god does that cab have some tone to it. The cab put me perfectly in the mix, which is something I struggled with in the 810. The GK just had tone for days! I was surprised how even the sound ways on all registers, the highs, mids and lows were just intense. It's got this low-mid punch that the 810 only wishes it could have!
Anyone else make the same change as me?
