I found a GK MB that I like!

I got the MB 210 a while back and try as I might...I could not warm up to that amp. I probably should have gone with the MB 212 in hind sight. The MB115 is not my thing as I am not a huge 115 fan, but I thought the MB112 was a cool idea. I have wanted to try one but could never find one in stock. Well I was at Sam Ash last night and they had one in stock and I had cash on hand. I have spent a while playing it tonight with my Stingray and I totally dig the tightness of the amp. None of the boom that i got from the MB210 nor any of the hiss. I have yet to try it with my upright, which is what I got it for...but I have high hopes.

Wow. I thought the 210 sounded tighter than the 112. I love mine... But there is some hiss going on.

I thought the 210 sounded good but I was comparing it to my SWR Goliath Jr...not fair but the 20 year old Goliath won out. Also, it was bigger than I wanted to be hauling for an upright amp. The 112 is the perfect size for that.

I have been doubling with this amp to replace a shot old MBS112.... It is definitely voiced differently, and I think someone on TB in the DB side mentions the way to get the eq flat on these preamps.... It sounds incredibly good for the price and I have been playing loud gigs on electric with no problem. Very impressive.

I have played the MB210 , owned the MB115, and the MB112. The MB112 has plenty of power for me as a monitor onstage and I always DI to the board anyway.Lightest of all the MB's and my favorite sound of all of them too. Tight , punchy and rich. I bought mine from rmcaudio.com and their "private" quote to me was more than $100 less, shipped, than anyone else. We are talking 30%+off, here boys and girls. When looking at all the pros and cons, the MB112 is the very best amp I have owned in 30 yrs. of playing. And I have had everything from a 2-212 stack on down to this little gem. My back loves it too!
