I just ordered a Carvin BX500 which can only mean one thing.

Carvin will lower the price.

I have a GKMB2 500 that I just love, though I need more tone control and a little compression would be nice.

I will let you know.

You'll love the BX. I've been using its baby brother, the MB (micro) head, as a standalone, and I have to say that the lower (semi-)parametric and the compressor are very useful and well thought out. I generally avoid the bass control, since it seems to run in too low a range for me, and instead I use the lower para to kick up a little 80 (or so) Hz. I'd buy a BX except the graphic doesn't interest me in the least, and if I need the MB's tone signature but at a higher volume then I can always run it as a preamp and jack it into my QSC. Anyway, enjoy your BX!
