| I love these best as guitar amps. Especially if you plug in to one bass channel input with your guitar, then plug into the other bass channel input AND one of the 'regular' channel inputs with another cable.
At least back when they made my old (series 66?) Bassman, the two inputs for each channel are electrically identical. So plugging in the way I described lets you run both channels simultaneously.
What was even better than that was a simple mod a friend did that allowed the bass channel to feed into the 'regular' channel, making a wonderful warm tube distortion at medium volumes.
At one point with that mod, I ran it through a 'suitcase' cab from a Rhodes piano. It was glorious.
It's sad when you have to look back at gear experiments and remember the successes and failures, and especially the I-wish-I-still-had-thats.
