That was one of the smoothest, and most versatile little combos that was ever built. I love that amp. I hope one day when I get some extra cash I can find one. Wither that or a B200R. I miss that amp.

I still own mine, and yes, it's the best amp I've ever had.

I just got one yesterday. My first was sold to make rent in 2006 and I always missed it. Great amp.

Agreed! I like to say you can plug any bass in any musical environment into that amp get a great tone, a magical little combo.

I only wish I had a B50-R and B200-R to keep it company!

honestly, these new ss portaflex deals seem like they're going to make people forget the b100r. but i do agree...absolutely superb little combo.

IMO the B200R doesn't sound the same as the B100R. There is something special about the B100R. They seem to just sound great in pretty well any venue I have used one in. Really great sounding combo.

Yep. They are great combo's!
Had mine since about '01. When my son, who lives out of state, needed a better rig, I gave him mine and replaced it with a Hartke HyDrive 115C. It's a cool combo, with some cool extras(distortion, compressor, etc.), and 250 watts. Still, I found myself missing my B100R. When he came here for the Summer last year, I had him bring it and compare it to the Hartke and let him choose which one he would rather have. He chose the Hartke! Must have gotten that from his Mother's side.
So, i'm still loving my Ampeg!!!

These amps do come up once in a while on ebay, those who really want one should grab one when available. They are worth the money.

The B100R was the best of all the combos I owned.
