I just saw this on my local CL and was wondering what it is. The seller's description isn't all that good, but I have the $250.

P.S. I'm not "calling it" so if any local guys gets this before I do, good on ya. I have no affiliation with the seller.

I'd jump on that. The Carvin 2x15's were pretty decent, and by the aluminum dust caps, the speakers could be JBL's. That head looks like a guitar tube amp, but not sure which one, and should sound alright at moderate volumes. If you push it, you might get too much dirt...but that could be a good thing.

Get the seller to email you all the info on the tags on the head and cab. The speakers look like cheapos (black dot/vent in the center of the metal dust cap). Even if they work, though, the surrounds are probably shot due simply to age, so you're probably looking at least at speaker replacements (with something modern+competent). Actually, the more I think about this, the stronger the image of Money Pit becomes. But ask him about the tags. Who knows, there could be possibilities here.

Looks like a 1972 Carvin Twin Master guitar amp with a 2x15 loaded with CTS speakers. About halfway down on that page.

Yep, I just got the info from the back of the head. The guys doesn't have a clue what it is. He found it in a storage unit. I'm wondering how a bass would sound through it.
