I need a new amp... 1500 for jazz/fusion

I play a fretless Jazzbass Deluxe in a jazz/fusion band. I am currently using a PJ Briefcase and the tone is very nice but obviously is not going to be enough for gigs.

We are drummer, guitar, sax, keys, voice (30% of the time) and me.

I tried my '71 Superbass and the sound is great for rock but not for what I do now.

What would you recommend me? I could spend something like 1500.

Thanks guys!

Ampeg is my first pick, but how about the Fender TB1200? Its a powerful hybrid head around $1200. It is a real quiet unit and can run down to 2 Ohms . I have mine running the Fender 215 Pro cab. This rig is not budget level but is very good investment wise.

Interesting

I was thinking maybe an AG500 / AG500SC, What do you think?
