It depends!.......Lotta unknown factors here.

Where?..(studio, live venue?)
What recording methods?....(micing, or direct?)

If you will be micing the bass amp, then the amp that sounds good to you would be the best choice. (maybe )

what they said

if you are going direct then i would suggest a good DI (which the studio may have, and in fact the engineer may be partial to one in which case you should use that as they know how to get the best from it - also if they have mic preamps you will probably get a better sound using one of those than just about anything else if it is a good one - trust the engineer). In fact, for studio especially you should be going direct even if you and they opt for a second track made by sticking a mic in front of your amp!

If said DI and the like are not available I would use the DI out of your amp with the control set to pre eq to give the engineer the cleanest possible signal to play with.

If you are using a mic on your amp in the studio or live then I would go with the amp you use and like. In the studio it's often best to use a single driver cab to mic.
