I'm either wanting the MBE212 or 2 gk neo112's II. Anybody with experience with either of these cabs? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I play a variety of music. Blues, R&B, Classic rock, contemporary rock etc..

Try both, buy what you like better. Simple.

I'm asking for experience with the cab.....as in real life experience. Reliabilty being the main concern.

Tried the Neo2 112. Superb cab-far better than it's bargain price. I highly recommend it.

I don't have experience with the MBE212, but I do have years of experience with a pair of GK Neo 112's and a pair of GK Neo 212's. After playing all my cabs in various configurations, I strongly recommend the GK Neo 112's. The pair played together, and your amp @ 4ohms, is capable of loud, full, rich sound and goodness. And for those smaller venues, just take the one cab, travel light, and you're good to go. Just my $.02

Thanks for the replys.... I went back up to GC and ordered a GK neo112II since they didnt have any to try. I can return it right to the store if I'm not happy. They gave it to me for $300 out the door(actually shipped to me). $50 bucks off and no tax, I'm happy. I'll order another in a few weeks to pair up. Cant wait... I haven't had an amp in a few months.

its a super lightweight 212 cab with a horn. Schroeder's are made in the US and are known for being light and loud. This cab is an 800 watt 4 ohm unit and weighs in at about 37 pounds. I can carry it in one hand and toss it in the back seat with no effort. This one is called the 1212BMF.

That Schro is very cool looking indeed.
i had a regular 1210 that I really dug with eden heads, but @ 37lbs sounds interesting !

I have not tried the GK 112's but have a 212Neo I which is a very substantial cab, seems to handle everything well, I imagine the more portable 112's would be similar, but at 30 lbs ea

I have been playing MB500 through 212MBE for 6 or 7 mos now with no complaints at all. More barky and snarly/less refined than the bigger 212Neo. but for 34 lbs, it's reasonably priced and very loud, 350w @ 8 ohm

Yeah, I was gonna say the MBE cabs are famous for being super light weight. I know my 210MBE cab is. That one's only 30 pounds. The NEO cabs might have a better build quality, and they may even sound better, i don't know. But I'm sure they're heavier.

That Schroeder is super sweet. Go to Avatar Speakers also, they’re cabs are very good and priced right. The TB153 or B212 NEO would be a great match for that head, if you want a single cab.
I like the idea of having two cabs though, so a pair of 112 cabs is a great way to go if you can afford it. Gives you the versatility of using one or two cabs. A pair of GK 112’s or Avatar SB112’s would both rock but if you can only afford one cab, get the Avatar TB153 @ 4 ohms and don’t look back.

Congrats... you made a real good choice. I'm sure you'll be more than happy with those cabs and that amp.

I have a MBE212 and the MB500 and they sound great. I can get a wide variety of sounds from them, and it's the lightest cabinet I've ever owned in my life
