ok so heres the deal my behringer bxr1800h when i first got it i didnt know to much about equipment just new a few things on the bass and wanted to learn more well when i was young and stupid i had to cabs and one i would run a cable out of the speaker out put and the other i would run a line out of the "line out" that is basicly the Direct out but for a diffrent type of cable.. so im wondering if running it from the line out to a cab would mess it up. today i took it to my church who is looking at buying it and we hooked it all up and it sounded beautiful and all but when we connected it to the PA it have a really loud and bad hiss. so im wondering if my screw ups in the past have come to haunt me.

Nope...connecting a cab to the Line Out shouldn't cause any issue at all....it's just a line level output.

Did you actually get any sound out of the cab connected to it?....I'd be surprised if you did...other than a very, very low signal.

yeah like i said i was a stupid kid i had 2 cabs running so i would hear the top cab and think it was the bottom going too.. and now i feel stupid lol. but that still good to know. i blew into it to make sure to get some dust out other than that would there be any other reason for that hiss?

Yes....another reason could be "it's a behringer" - hahaha

My buddy's B-Vamp also has this constant annoying hiss on some presets.

Overall they make some nice stuff...but little issues like this are kinda common.
