If I wanted to support "Buy American", what companies would I look at? I am specifically speaking of Loudspeaker Cabinets.

Why not support local/small business too and opt for a custom built, well engineered cab for you. Say a fEarful or something?

Nissan. My Altima was made in Tennessee.

You're probably on very thin ice here, as even products assembled in the US are mainly built from parts that came from elsewhere. That includes the wood that both your cabs and axe are made of.

Even if made from some or all foreign parts and/or wood, if it's assembled in the US at least there is some domestic and likely "adult" labor content in it.

Bill,

Thats the idea. Opening a dialog to understand just what "Buy American" means. And how important is it.

Haha, I love it Bill! On that note, my Accord could have rolled off of the very production line that I worked quality on in Marysville, Ohio for Honda of America Manufacturing ("HAM"). We shared enough suppliers with GM and the other "American" big boys that we would've been hit very hard by their fall, if they had. These were both domestic and foreign products.

Like Bill was getting at, it's a bit more complex than where it's assembled.

It is a global economy.. Even if I built ya a fEARful, parts come from a lot of places. The wood is Russian, the midranges are made overseas, the magnet materials come from China.. I remember when the words "Chinese junk" referred to boats, not 90% of walmarts' inventory.. Can pretty much guarantee whatever you buy ain't all 100% American anymore..

I was going to say, then you must be a nudist.
Bergs are designed and made here.
We do live on a world and economics now include everywhere.
Your effort is best spent voting for representatives that see beyond profits for American companies.
Many American companies order good quality components from overseas. Some order shite.
